The chain

An ageing population and falling birth rates = fewer people of working age = a growing shortage of skilled workers in care and healthcare = increasing demand for automation, medical robotics and physical assistance.

In my view, we are approaching demographic limits across almost all parts of the Western world.

CYBERDYNE develops HAL exoskeleton technologies that can support people in rehabilitation and care and reduce physical strain.

High demographic pressure = growing demand for medical robots = potentially, HAL goes BRRR (the good kind of BRRR) = rising revenue if commercialisation succeeds = a possible improvement in profitability = long-term upside potential for the stock.

Demographic change is a structural development that unfolds over years.
